I've also had an issue with a set of wiring - the battery harness on the truck was not making a good connection to the pins on the plow side harness. They didn't look visually egged out or anything. I ended up putting a little coiled up wire in the bottom on the truck side and it worked great. If it spins the motor is good. Then check the solenoid for power switching. You should hear a click when engaging up/left or right ( shut the truck off but turn the key on. Turn the radio down and the heater off.
